Last year, Red Hat, Inc. planned to expand its current office in Westford, MA by adding approximately 100,000 square feet in a new four story building attached to its existing three story building.
Florence Electric and Kaydon IT were on board after the building core and shell portion were completed working with the Gutierrez Company. The project consisted of installing a 2500KW rooftop generator, 4000AMP bus duct, 4000AMP switchgear package, exterior interlocked 4000A portable generator cabinet, 990 KW UPS system in the Data Center, and new lighting with management control options.
The core and shell project started in June 2012 and finished in the end of December 2012. The tenant fit-up portion of work was started in January 2013 and the building was turned over to the owner the end of May 2013. The project value was $4.1 million.
